Question: Does end user can install gas equipment and piping himself?


As per code and regulation in place, when you are working with compressed gases, you need to hold proper licences to install piping and related gas equipment. RBQ and CMMTQ Entrepreneur License are the key one.

Azoxco technicians have their approved welding procedure certification from RBQ and TSSA Ontario as well than appropriated training in gas process piping.

Azoxco also hold Quality control program for site installation, repair and modification as per NQ 3650-900 (Code d’installation des chaudières, des appareils et des tuyauteries sous pression) certified by Régie du Bâtiment du Québec.

There is an added value for a piping installation as per codes which will be designed, fabricated, safe and installed for many years.

Question: Is it mandatory to do pressure test for leak detection, dew point analysis and calibration of gas mixer annually?


Under some codes such like (Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), it is recommended to do one and even twice a year, gas mixer calibration.

It is suggested to do preventive maintenance on gas system to avoid unplanned shut down which can impact on loss of productivity and on production cost.

Question: Is it a good practice to have back-up equipment for our main gas equipment supply system?


It is not mandatory to have a back-up equipment but it can avoid to have long term shut down of your gas supply.

Question: Can I repair by myself equipment that has been manufactured by Azoxco?


For safety reason, it is not recommended to tamper gas equipment. First, it will void the warranty on the equipment.

Secondly, because of compatibility of gas with equipment, it may cause injury if the wrong part is used as a replacement part.

GCE equipment are manufactured and repaired as per CSA B51 et ASME B31.3 codes. Equipment repair have to be done by specialized technician in gas equipment.
